To
facilitate the Imperium, a governing structure has been developed
which follows the Star Trek "Romulans" as closely as possible. This
structure helps administer chapters and members in all of the branches
of service.
Some
positions within RSE International are governing positions, meaning they
help run and operate the actual organization. Other positions are
strictly roleplaying positions, facilitating the fictitious world of
the Romulan Star Empire. Some governing duties mix with roleplaying. When communicating with any of these positions,
it should be clear what is real and what is not.
RSE International is a
not-for-profit organization that has a legal governing
body. The president (Praetor) leads the organization with the
assistance and advice of the vice-president (Subpraetor). An executive
committee (Continuing Committee) completes the governing board.
The
Imperial Praetor (IP) serves as RSE International's president. The
IP is responsible for the overall administration of the Imperium and
its funds, as well as its records. The IP holds the final decision on all
matters concerning the Imperium.
The
Imperial Subpraetor (ISP) serves
as RSE International's vice-president and acts as the Praetor's Chief
of Staff.
The
Civilian Coordinators reflect the views
of the membership, not necessarily that of the command heads, and
thus, represent all members. In addition, all business may be conducted
by mail or e-mail due to geographical separation of RSE
International's governing body.
Many
members are involved in RSE International primarily at the chapter level,
and often interact with other chapter members, as well as their department or
division Command heads and staffs. Communication between divisions and
individual members is highly encouraged and advised.
In RSE
International there are several membership departments, such as, but
not limited to:
Star Navy (Galae), Tal
Shiar,
Diplomatic Corps, Tal Prai'ex, and so forth. While each of
these departments have a "real-life" function within the
Empire, these are the branches which members will either be attached
to or will interact with the most. Other departments, such as
Quartermaster and the Academy, are support
departments which provide essential resources, and ensure the enjoyability and quality of the RSE
International experience.
